With Debx, we combine the fiscal peace of mind of debit with the perks of a credit card.

What is the problem with debit cards?

While debit cards serve as excellent safeguards against spending beyond your means, they do have limitations. Unlike credit cards, most debit cards don’t offer rewards, cashback or the ability to build credit. Debit cards also offer fewer built-in consumer protections such as the extended warranties and fraud prevention found on credit cards.

What's the problem with credit cards?

If used irresponsibly, credit cards can cause serious financial hardship. Card companies encourage users to actively seek rewards, a process that requires significant attention to spending and can result in large monthly bills. For an undisciplined cardholder, spending to earn these attractive rewards can lead to carrying a balance and falling into debt. Even conscious card users can find it hard to manage credit card purchases and payments on a day-to-day basis. Knowing due dates and amounts often requires juggling multiple accounts, websites and apps.
This transparency and fiscal responsibility are why many people opt for cash and debit over credit cards. Unfortunately, by avoiding credit cards, users miss out on several key benefits. Debx helps consumers use their credit cards to reap the benefits, all while avoiding the risk of high monthly bills, the annoyance of constant account monitoring and the fear of spending money they don’t have.

Why should I care about rewards points?

If used effectively, rewards points are as valuable cash. Whether in the form of cash back, frequent flier miles or points applicable to everyday purchases, credit card rewards can help you pay for everything form groceries to a well-deserved vacation.
